My Transformation through the years-2004-2012

When I was still single, working as a Marketing Manager for a retail company, I had the oppurtunity to handle/mingle with the celebrity endorsers of the brand. Rhian Ramos, Aga Mulach, John Loyd Cruz,Maja Salvador, Nancy Castiliogne, Karel Marquez, etc. etc. etc. and most of my pictures  with them got lost already except for a few. I posted some here, and if you like to see more, please do comment and let me know.

This was taken last 2006, with Rian Ramos at an event with channel 7. Im 33 at the time :-)

The last picture was taken last May 2011. I made a collage to see how my look transformed thru the years. Its just funny, sometimes I dont recognized myself. You would think I had a nose job, but really its just the angle of the shot, makeup and of course lighting.

Actually, I was a bit light (skincolor) in the last picture because I have been getting Glutathione IV shots 2x a week for 3-4 months.

( I used Galvanic Spa before makeup and 3 days before, can you see my skin?!!?? and eyebags is almost not there!! )

This is my real skin color when Im not getting any Gluta shots. I simply drink SHeseido purewhite to get a rested fresh glow.

How to wear red lipstick!

Red lipstick is just not for mestizas or light colored skin women. I believe all women should wear RED LIPSTICK once in awhile. In fact, for this year, I want RED lips to be my signature look!

Above picture is Jazz my bride. Normally, warmer red will be the safest choice for the RED shade that will suit her. But I figured JAZZ can rock this shade as well. This girl is 5'8 flat! When she wore her heels, I looked like a hobbit  beside her.LOL

Their are a LOT of RED shades to choose from.

To choose the shade that suits you, indentify your undertone. Basically look at the veins on your hand. If its blue, you can wear RED that has bluish undertones (think Marlyn Monroe RED) This means your also light skinned but can either have yellow undertones or pink ( think light skinned asians and Caucasians)

If you have yellow undertone but a little tan, warmer REDS will suit you best. Meaning REDS that have a little purple in it (PLUM REDS,BROWN REDS or BRICK)

Orangy reds (bright shades) looks great for those with light hair and light skin. Usually, red heads will look great with this shade.

But actually, if you can carry the shade, meaning you think you can ROCK the color, then hey, Go for it! :-)

Other tips:
1.You dont have to wear RED nails to match! But dont let your nail color clash. I usually complement my Nails for example, I will wear an AQUA BLUE nails along with a RED lip since this color complements each other. But if you want to wear a RED nail polish, choose a shade that is similar to your lips.This looks better than wearing 2 different shades on your lips & nails.

2.To avoid lipstick on your lips, do this: Suck your index finger then slide it out. Your finger will cathc the lipstick outside the lip line that will get caught on your teeth.

3.Using a lipliner before wearing the lipstick will ensure that your lipstick will last longer and will not feather. You can also blot your lips and re-apply the lipstick again.

4.Condition your lips if it tends to dry when using lipstick because RED lispticks have stronger color content so it might dry your lips more. Or you can use lipsticks that has Vit e or jojoba oils .
Avoid matte types.

Graduation Ball Makeup

Last Saturday I did a graduation makeup for 2 young ladies, 17 to be exact for their graduation ball. They are both from Poveda.

I love Alexas dress especially at the back.:-)

sorry  the above photo is a bit yellow. I was the one who took most of these photos..the ones with bad lighthing.LOL

I used hot rollers to create volume and soft curls to Alexas hair.

Kyla is my niece in law. She wanted something edgy and dark so I used a midnight blue glitter base from smashbox, silver grey eye shadow and placed a MUFE diamond powder. For her hair, I just culed the ends.

Fresh Younger looking makeup

At 39, my goal is to eat healthy and look young. But im weak! hahahaha. I eat a lot of junk and lack a good night sleep. In my next post I will tell you my beauty routine, but for now, lets fake it thru makeup!

This is my Go-To  Fresh Beauty  Makeup.

We all want to look fresh and well rested.Most women refuse to wear makeup for fear of looking old. But wearing the right product and using the right amount of makeup can do wonders for your appearance.

With all the wonderful anti aging products out there, makeup, skin care and tools, as well as vitamins and treaments, its not impossible to look younger than our real age.

As for makeup is concerned using a foundation with medium to full coverage is the key. Use it sparingly though. A little goes a long way. I used LAURA MERCIER CREME FOUNDATION here.

Im not using a PRIMER here but if I was, I will reach for SMASHBOX silicon primer. Skip this if you have sensitive or acne prone skin.

Using a creme blush underneath your powder, applying it after foundation, gives you a subtle glow. Here I used Cover girl cream blush ( coral color is flattering for all skin color) and I used a Sheer Peach blush that has a subtle shimmer and gold flecks, pretty much like NARS Orgasm, but less the glitter.

For the lips, would you believe its 3 products???
Plumping Sheer lipstick from Physicians Formula, 3 shades. Lightest at the center of my lips.
I outlined my lipline using a loreal lip liner, peachy brown simillar to my lip color and blended it inward with my pinky finger.

Then I topped it off with a Sheer gloss from Mac that relflect light, but only at the center of my lips.

Im wearing false lashes but- half only (demi lash) at my outer eye to elongate my eye and give that lift.
I also used a gel liner from MAC that looks like BLACK but its dark brown.

The white part you see on my right eye is just the lash glue still drying. It will dry clear.

Weekend Trip makeup look

My weekend makeup focuses on the eyes. The eye makeup is soft and lip color is natural. The eyebrows is defined but still natural looking. I just smudged a brown liner and used 2 coats of mascarra from Maybelline. My eye makeup are all waterproof!

My foundation is Bodyshop cream to powder, SPF 30. Great for outdoors. fast application for me, no need to set with powder so less time for me to finish my makeup!

For this look, I just want to have fun with eyeliner. I used a gel liner from MAC in brown. For the lids, I used a champagne eyeshadow,also from Smashbox

For this makeup, everything else is simple like the eyes and blush. I just used a red orange lipstick from Revlon that matches my nail polish. 

My 39th birthday ( almost 40 yikes! )

Last January 21 was my 39th birthday. Yes, my last year before I turn into the forties.hahahaha. I did not  have a big celebration  instead I just spent it at home with my hubby and son, hanging out, eat and laze around.hahahaha.

 The pictures above was at my hubby's grandmother's 92nd birthday party,  on the day of my birthday at Valle Verde Country Club.

I did a tutorial for this look and will share it next time.

I have a very big, red pimple just below my nose that I was able to cover. You can see in the picture above ( I used a Canon Slr camera ) that I was able to cover it up with concealer.

Makeup look-Purple Drama

Went to a friends house for dinner and this was my outfit. I dont want to wear something fancy but instead I just accessorized. The necklace I bought from a tiangge in Eastwood. I love the rocker chic look.

This pumps is 5-6 inches high! I rarely use this ( this is the 2nd time) because although its comfortable, the pumps is a bit loose. hahaha.gotta buy more silicone shoe pads.
